  • Erwin Poell, a designer from Heidelberg, Germany designed Poell Outline, Black and Shaded in 1972 based on a strict grid system. Crack is a modern interpretation in the year 2011. The overlapping of elements is applied in a more consistent manner and thereby taken to the extremes. The design itself is modernized by making the letters more roundish. For a clearer display in small point sizes, the rounded counters are slightly expanded. Humor finds its way in type design. (CharachterSet: Basic Latin1)

  • Hammer was originally drawn as a corporate typeface for photoeditor Monica Pozzi and is inspired by the headlinefont “Block” from 1908. To get rid of the geometric, art- nouveau-style the glyphs were redesigned in a more humanistic manner. Later on highlights were added to the letters to create a font that looks as heavy and glossy as a freshly baked donut. (Character Set: Basic Latin 1)

  • Martin Borst created this font called »Mondra«—an anagram of »random«. The typeface tries to imitate the appearance of handwriting. Each stroke style and downstroke of the characters as well as various character forms are randomized via a script. Just like actual handwriting, no two letters are identical. The variable downstrokes transport various emotions according to their lengths – from precise and timid to brash and confident. Borst designed and coded the typeface using PHP/PDFlib.
